Back when regular people were in hip hop videos. Loves it. I am not kidding though that today I saw a young girl in one of the outfits from the video. A baby doll dress and tights. I can not get down with tights as fashion again. It is just wrong. I did that first time around. I am good.

LOL @ at the first 3 comments. I'm not with the tights as fashion either. Especially tights and a long shirt. That's so early 90s.

Ms. JJ:

Yep, I remember there were no video ho's back in the day. Just FOLKS. . .

Tam: I noticed that as well. . .I think that it had a lot to do with the timing of the song, which was close to the Persian Gulf War. . .

Smoothie: I used to have to listen to my friend, ad nauseum, tell me that she knew yo-yo because they went to the same high school (Washington Prep). Um, pretty much Erry-Boddy that lives in California either acts like they went to school with a rapper, or says they lived down the street from them, or they are a distant cousin (I had to deal with that re: Too Short and this chick in my class). It's pretty nauseous, even though I was a participant as well (Easy-E).

Southern Gal: Tights and a Long Skirt. Um, I took a many one hour photo picture with those things on. Eew.

LMAO...

What you know about one hour photo? Yo...do you have that famous pose with your hands up on the wall and your ass sticking out, lookin over your shoulder like you're cute? HAHAHAHA

Ok, I'm not going to admit to KNOWING or DATING any rappers.

:| hehehe

But I MIGHT admit to owning a baby doll dress and wearing it with tights. I might have even worn biker shorts under my jean skirts and taken off my skirt as soon as my mother pulled away from the curb after dropping me off at school.

I notice nobody mentioned the bob with the crimps...

I used to love this song. Missing the days of the empowered woman rapper. Yo-Yo was a little more hood, but she and Latifah were doing the dang thang!
